“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”
What’s a coaching session like?
At its core, a coaching session is a conversation–but with a specific structure, a stated purpose, and a desired outcome. At the end of each session, you commit to doing something that moves you closer to your goal. And at the beginning of the next session, you report on how you did. That’s what keeps you moving forward.
How do I get started?
Find a coach I am committed to your success and know that you’re more likely to succeed if you work with a coach who’s a good fit for you. Get to know me by scheduling a free Foundation Session. This will give you an opportunity to figure out whether my coaching style suits you. If it doesn’t, I know lots of coaches, and chances are good that I can refer you to someone who’s the perfect fit.
Schedule your first session In most cases, you and I will work together over the phone. To start with, we’ll clarify your goals and create a plan for achieving them.
Schedule ongoing sessions Each session will move you closer to your goal. Don’t be surprised, however, if the goal that you came in with doesn’t turn out to be the one you ultimately work on. For example, you may realize that you don’t want a promotion after all. What you really want is to achieve a state of happiness that’s independent of your circumstances.
Once you’ve achieved and celebrated your goal, you can either end your coaching sessions or set a new goal and continue them. It’s up to you, and I support you either way.
Plans
There are three coaching plans from which you can choose: Tortoise, Hare, and Cheetah. Pick the one that’s right for you now–you can always switch to a different plan as your needs change.
| Plan | Ideal if . . . | Includes | Price |
| Tortoise | You prefer to work slowly and methodically toward a goal (and like to point out that, in Aesop’s fable, the tortoise won the race). | Two one-hour coaching sessions per month, with e-mail support between sessions | $200 |
| Hare | You want to reach your goals quickly and are willing to devote more time to achieving them. | Three one-hour coaching sessions per month, with e-mail support between sessions | $300 |
| Cheetah | You don’t have time to mess around, want to achieve your goals in record time, and need all the support you can get between now and then. | Four one-hour coaching sessions per month, a digital recording of each session, e-mail and phone support between sessions | $400 |
Money matters
What you get for free
- Your Foundation Session–a conversation that gives you the opportunity to get to know me and determine whether my coaching style meets your needs.
- A copy of my Mixed Emotions card deck when you sign up for your first three months of coaching. These cards are so integral to what I do, that I can’t imagine coaching without them.
- Self-assessment tools, worksheets, and exercises that will help you move forward.
What you pay for
What you are paying for is met goals, realized dreams, a clearer sense of personal vision, and tangible results in your life. Put a price on that. When considering the cost of coaching, ask yourself, “How much has it cost me to live with unrealized potential and a vague sense of direction? Couldn’t I get more out of life–including more money–if I worked with a coach?”
How you pay
I accept payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or PayPal. More detailed information about how to pay is in your intake packet.
Ending your coaching sessions
You may choose to end our coaching relationship at any time. However, I ask that you give notice of your intent to complete our sessions at least 30 days before your last appointment. This enables us to bring our work to a conscious conclusion, honors us both, and gives us an opportunity to celebrate the journey we’ve shared.
